The men who use this platform share information about their bodies, their health, and their personal journeys. That trust is not for sale. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We collect only what is necessary to provide you with a genuinely useful service, and we protect it with care.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with (and who we don't), and what rights you have over your own data.

What Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

Account registration:

  • Name or display name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored as a one-way hash — we cannot see your password)
  • Profile avatar (optional)
  • Language preference

Plan Generator inputs:

When you use the Personalized Restoration Plan Generator, you provide information including age, anatomical details, restoration goals, lifestyle factors, budget, and geographic region. This information is used solely to generate your personalized plan document. If you are logged in, your inputs are stored in your account so you can revisit and update your plan. If you are not logged in, your inputs are processed in memory only and are not stored after your plan is delivered.

Course activity:

Module completion records, quiz responses and scores, and progress milestones.

Purchases:

Order details, purchase history, and transaction records. Payment card information is processed directly by Stripe and is never stored on Hooded servers.

Communications:

Any messages you send us via email or contact forms.

Information Collected Automatically

Usage data:

We collect basic analytics data about how users interact with the platform — pages visited, features used, and general usage patterns. This data is used to improve the platform and is not used to build advertising profiles.

Device and connection data:

Standard technical information including browser type, operating system, and IP address. IP addresses are used for security purposes (rate limiting, fraud prevention) and are not retained beyond the session.

Cookies and similar technologies:

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences (such as language selection). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Service providers: We use a small number of third-party services to operate the platform. These providers process data only on our instructions and are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Health-Adjacent Information

The Personalized Restoration Plan Generator and course progress tracking involve information that relates to your physical health and anatomy. While Hooded Products is not a healthcare provider, we treat all anatomical and restoration-related inputs with the same care we would apply to sensitive health data.

This information is:

  • Used only to provide the service you requested
  • Never shared with third parties for any purpose
  • Stored with appropriate security measures
  • Deleted when you delete your account

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

  • Personal data (name, email, profile information) is deleted within 30 days
  • Course progress and Generator plan data is deleted within 30 days
  • Order records are retained for 7 years in anonymized form to comply with financial record-keeping requirements
  • Backups may retain data for up to 90 days before being purged

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access: You may request a copy of all personal information we hold about you.

Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate information. Most information can be corrected directly in your account settings.

Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information. You may also delete your account directly from account settings.

Data portability: You may request your data in a machine-readable format.

Objection: You may object to certain processing of your data, including analytics.

Withdrawal of consent: Where processing is based on consent (such as the newsletter), you may withdraw consent at any time.

Security

Children and Age Requirements

Hooded Products is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 18 through the main platform. An age-appropriate version of the platform for younger users is in development and will be governed by a separate, age-appropriate privacy policy designed with the heightened protections applicable to minors.
